Choose by Lens Type:

Since no lens can be ideal in all light conditions, picking a goggle lens means managing compromise.

Top tips:

  1. Go with a gold lens : All UVEX lenses block 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC (UVEX is short for UltraViolet EXcluded), so any of our lenses (even the clear one) have you covered in terms of blocking harmful, invisible radiation. If you are going to choose one lens, go with either the litemirror gold (for a sunnier climate) or gold lite lens (if you deal with flat light more than sun).

UVEX Gold lenses will serve recreational skiers and riders very well, and are a good choice for a utility goggle for more aggressive athletes. Like Ms Vonn over there.

  2. Apply technology: UVEX has two lenses that use different technologies to broaden their ideal spectrum. The VALiD LCD technology in the Variotronic lens darkens our Gold Lite lens by 20% at the touch of a button, making it an ideal goggle for flat light and sun.

The Vario lens uses photochromic technology for a more gradual transition in response to light.

  3. Don't compromise. Build a quiver: The right lens can mean the difference between seeing (a good time) and not seeing (a miserable time). Why chance it? A three-goggle quiver: one for sun, one for cloudy/snow days, and one with a gold lens is all you need.

It's also a good idea to carry a second set in case of a yard sale that fouls your goggles until you can dry them out.

UVEX offers two goggles that are enhanced by on-board electronics.

The Uvision Variotronic features the VALiD lens from Alphamicron Inc. that enables wearers to instantly darken the lens 20% at the touch of a button.

The Uvision Electric features a quiet yet powerful exhaust fan that expels warm, moist air before it has a chance to condense on the inside of the lens.

Spheric Goggles

Spherical goggles match the shape of the eyeball, so as the eye sweeps across the inside of the lens the distance between it and the lens remains more constant. The result is an absolutely optically correct lens with enhanced peripheral vision.

Race Goggles

This year's race collection consists of three versions of the FP 501, a moto-inspired frame with a huge field of vision, and the venerable Racer, the goggle of choice for 4-event skiers worldwide.

The FP 501 is a great goggle for anyone who wants a larger goggle with a wide field of vision. The Racer is best suited for racing.

Woman's Goggles

UVEX makes more women’s specific frames than any other goggle company. Shorter frame heights make sure that goggles don’t cover the nose when worn with helmets or hats. Increased curvature in the frame shape makes sure goggles fit snug over smaller faces and molded hypo-allergenic face foam keeps sensitive skin protected. Head band clips are included with every women’s model, making sure the goggles are a breeze to take on and off.
